What is More Specific Criteria in a leaderboard challenge?

Some activity types offer additional requirements to further drive engagement.

When creating a Leaderboard Challenge, many activity types offer a Days calculation. This means the challenge will track days of activity rather than values of individual records.

Example

A Steps leaderboard challenge with the Number calculation measures the total step count for the duration of the program.

A Steps leaderboard challenge with the Days calculation measures the number of days with steps logged.

When selecting the Days option, some activity types offer a More Specific Criteria menu. This can be used to add another layer of prerequisites specific to the selected activity.

Some examples of More Specific Criteria are as follows:

  • Minutes- 30+ minutes of exercise
  • Sleep- 7+ hours of sleep
  • Water- 24+ ounces of water

When a More Specific Criteria is applied, data will only count towards the program if the criteria is met for a selected date.

Example

If a Minutes leaderboard challenge uses the Days calculation with a More Specific Criteria of "30+ minutes of exercise", a user's exercise record(s) will not count towards the program if the Minutes total for the day is between 1 and 29 minutes. Days with 30 or more minutes of exercise(s) will count towards the program.
